DTS Cybersecurity Experts Launch CyberSchool and Online Course to Guide Small Businesses Through Creating a Cybersecurity Plan

ARLINGTON, Va.— July 11, 2023—Known for its educational approach to cybersecurity, DTS experts introduced DTS CyberSchool, an online educational offering that includes courses, learning modules, and a cybersecurity awareness training solution that allows small businesses to meet basic cybersecurity requirements in-house. The new offering includes Cyber Track: Basic, an online course that explains the 15 Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) security requirements and 17 minimum security controls required for CMMC Level 1, how to meet each one, and how to document compliance.

“We believe knowledge plus practice helps to embed cybersecurity into the essence of an organization, nurturing a culture of security,” said Edward Tuorinsky, DTS Founder and Managing Principal. “Our Cyber Track: Basic allows small businesses to fulfill the pre-award C-SCRM requirements for contracts like OASIS+, by writing their own Cybersecurity Plan.”

“DTS CyberSchool will empower small business owners to make better-informed decisions about their organization’s cybersecurity posture and reduce the cost of compliance,” adds Derek Kernus, Director of Cybersecurity Operations at DTS.

DTS CyberSchool combines the company’s expertise in cybersecurity, its success at developing plain-language education and webinars on cybersecurity topics, and its history of developing innovative solutions for learning and development programs for the government.

DTS is offering Cyber Track: Basic at a significantly lower price point than a consultant-developed cybersecurity plan, allowing companies to save money by doing the required cybersecurity work themselves. Each Track, or Do-it-yourself (DIY) course, is designed to walk users through a cybersecurity requirement and produce the necessary documentation. Topics are broken down into short lessons with engaging graphics and easy-to-follow instructions for the “homework.”

DTS plans to add additional tracks to the CyberSchool program, including learning modules for small business executives, and NINJIO licenses, the industry’s leading cybersecurity awareness training solution.
