DTS at Work
Our Culture
DTS is not a giant consulting firm, so our culture reflects our size, scope, and team. As a company, we are adaptive, flexible, and supportive. We rally to help when deadlines approach or a task requires all-hands on deck. Mentoring is foundational to who we are, with an expectation that everyone will offer advice, feedback, and on-the-job training to others more junior. Our work requires an unusual focus and intensity, so our teams really gel. We socialize together. Celebrate together. And appreciate each other for our individual contributions.
We treat our colleagues, competitors and teaming partners with respect and honesty.
We conduct ourselves as experts within our field, sharing our knowledge, professionally and responsibly.
Our diverse workforce celebrates multiple perspectives, drives collaborative thinking and decision-making, and is the foundation of innovative approaches to our customers’ missions and challenges.
We are committed to being a socially and environmentally responsible company.
We strive to be an exemplar of service, knowing that the gift of time and expertise can often be the most valuable gift you can give another.
We believe we should do our part to give back to the communities that give so much to us and celebrate employees who serve through volunteerism.
Our Community
DTS is committed to supporting the communities where we live and work through our talents and resources.Sharing resources, information and talent brings a new sense of purpose and drive to our work. We use our strength as a leading boutique consulting firm to give back to the community.
- We sponsor diverse programs that support veterans, the environment, and local community needs, including the Wounded Warrior Project, World Wildlife Federation, and Arlington Chamber of Commerce community service projects.
- We celebrate employees who serve through volunteerism and provide paid days off for employees to engage in volunteer activities, a policy which has benefitted Arlington County Public Schools and local nonprofits.
- Our continued growth is reflected with expanded impact on the Washington, DC metro area. We make a point to ‘think local’ first for services and supplies, employee and client events, and meals.
- We mindfully seek to reduce our carbon footprint. We encourage telecommuting, paperless processes and limited travel to reduce emissions. We provide a stipend to employees who use public transportation or bike to work.
