DTS Executive Edward Tuorinsky Named to National Veteran Small Business Coalition National Board of Directors

Tuorinsky leverages industry knowledge to provide members with advanced education on critical regulatory and statuary government standards

ARLINGTON, Va. – July 10, 2018DTS, delivering quality management consulting and IT services to public and private sector organizations, announced that DTS Managing Principal Edward Tuorinsky was named to the NVSBC (National Veteran Small Business Coalition) National Board of Directors. In this capacity, DTS will have the opportunity to support and promote the veteran-owned business community with the critical issues of continuing education, growth opportunities, advancement, and legislative advocacy.

“As a leader of a service-disabled veteran owned small business, I am honored to serve as an advocate for the NVSBC and its mission, through recruitment efforts, education and organizational planning,” explained DTS Managing Principal Edward Tuorinsky. “Understanding changing government regulations is vital to veteran owned business, as it can greatly impact business strategy and current project execution. I plan to support members by equipping them with critical information on issues such as new and/or changing regulatory and statuary standards, such as those to the FAR, DFAR, FMR, and NIST.”

DTS provides information technology and management consulting services in the areas of program management, governance, strategic planning, organization advancement, business process efficiency, software development, system integration and learning enhancement solutions. “Leveraging my experience with DTS, I see a significant opportunity to help NVSBC and its member community position themselves as a go-to resource for contracts and support in both the Federal and commercial markets,” added Tuorinsky.

According to the 2017 SBA report entitled “Veteran-Owned Businesses and Their Owners,” veteran-owned small businesses employed 5.03 million people, had an annual payroll of $195 billion, and receipts of $1.14 trillion. In fact, veteran-owned firms represented 9.1 percent of all U.S. businesses.

The newly elected NVSBC National Board of Directors begin their roles on July 1, 2018. Their terms expire on June 30, 2022.
