Organizational/Workforce Development

Core Competency

In 2012, the average job tenure in the United States was 4.6 years. As the number of people retiring from the workforce grows and others change jobs more often, the need to plan for future workforce, knowledge and succession needs is greater than ever. DTS understands the importance of planning and the unique needs of every organization when it comes to structure, skills and training.

Past Experience

At the Natural Resources Conservation Service, DTS helped the Office of the Chief Information Officer develop an organizational structure and a workforce development plan as a step in achieving its newly created strategic goals and objectives. The five-year plan focused around needed skills, phasing in hiring and training needs based on the federal hiring and strategic implementation processes. It included detailed plans for the five-year strategic period in addition to long-term workforce goals.
